The quality of a product doesn’t reduce itself to the aspects related to production. Functionality, shape aspects, it’s finishing, the relations with the environment where the product will be used, and discarded are some of the items who concerns design.

To attend market requests there is a need, in certain cases, to offer a line or a family of products. Design enters here as a mediator, between the production possibilities of the manufacturer and the individual needs of the retailers and marketing.
